It begins with ancient instruments and chants of Africa and moves quickly into a modern genre with strings, choir, and a stone lithophone which dates back over 6,000 years. The music maintains the spirit of the movie throughout with lyrical cello solos and the "Heartbeat of the Universe" resounding from a giant clay pot Udu.
