Hey all,

As an exercise and a project of passion, I have followed the lead of two friends who wrote a score for the LOTR books, and have decided to begin scoring the novel "Dune" by Frank Herbert... though this has been converted to film format twice now, and with pretty good soundtracks to each, I'm intrigued by the idea of scoring something that is both non-visual, and therefor not as "action" based.

Was wondering what any of you thought of the concept of composing for non-visual mediums...
